Job Title: Machining Production SupervisorShift - 2ndPay - $35-$37Job DescriptionEssential Duties:• Successfully lead and work alongside a team of machinists, quality personnel and engineers• Apply knowledge of machine shop procedures, machine tool setup, operating techniques and production machining methods• Review setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work pieces• Obtain programs and tooling to assist department in getting ready for upcoming jobs• Make sure proper tooling is available to complete the jobs assigned and order if necessary• Develop & manage production schedules & estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment to meet production goals• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product• Drive lean techniques within the department• Fully understand department KPI’s and how they are measured• Manage employee timecards, and time off requests• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems• Partner with production supervisor to support process flow• Ability to maintain a 6S environment within department• Ensure the completion of daily required safety, quality and production paperworkHard Skills• Machining Supervisor• Mill Machining• Production Supervision - MachiningJob TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Eastlake, Ohio.Work EnvironmentHours:2nd Shift: 4pm-1am• Overtime is not required, but encouraged• Overtime would be 5hrs on Saturday and Sunday's (SUNDAY IS 2x TIME)Very nice work environment, temperature controlled and well lit.This is a mix of job shop/production machining Center. The runs will be anywhere from 20-70 pieces most of the time, but also have some 300+ piece orders.
