Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Project Manager to join a growing consulting firm. The senior role will evolve into a potential Chief of Staff position. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, experience in government consulting, and the ability to manage complex, competitive grant and contract pursuits.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects, coordinating across virtual teams, conducting research, and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, requiring the ability to think outside the box and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple projects related to business strategy, government grants, and contracts.
Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders and virtual teams.
Oversee grant and contract pursuits, ensuring successful delivery.
Conduct research to quickly understand new topics and provide actionable insights.
Develop and deliver presentations using PowerPoint/Google Slides.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
Proactively address potential issues and risks that may impact project success.
Provide strategic guidance and support across various projects and initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in government consulting, business strategy, or project management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably native or near-native English.
Experience in government consulting or related fields, with a focus on business strategy, grants, and contracts.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate across teams.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
High proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
Ability to work across virtual teams and manage multiple stakeholders with varying personalities.
Research skills with a keen ability to learn quickly and adapt to new topics.
A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to foresee and address potential issues.
Flexibility in dealing with different team dynamics and stakeholders.
This is a remote role, but occasional international travel to client sites may be required.
Preferred:
Myers-Briggs personality type: INTJ or ENTJ (although not mandatory).
Experience in project management and team leadership.
Client-facing experience and the ability to manage client relationships.
