Job Title: Infrastructure Specialist

Location: 2001 Brainard Road, Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret

·        Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization. Related certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience.


SUMMARY

Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) contract provides technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. JITC’s service requirements are categorized in the following areas: T&E Performance Requirements, T&E Capability Management Requirements, T&E Capability Requirements, and Overarching Contract and Task Order (TO) Requirements. TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced IT/NSS capabilities.


FHU Lab Support team is responsible for maintaining, installing, and testing all fiber optic/copper data and voice communication connections, and electronic equipment. They are responsible for level of inventory that includes but not limited to batteries, cables, circuit board items, Prescribed Load List (PLL), bench stock, and electronic parts for operation of the mission. This includes reorder of any items through the DISA/JITC purchase procurement program. The FHU Lab Support is also responsible for the Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) Calibration and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) program to include coordination with other Government, Civilian, and Contract personnel both on the JITC compound and off. Prepare excess items for turn-in according to policy. The FHU Lab Support is responsible for telephone equipment operations (both secure and non-secure, tactical, and commercial). The FHU Lab Support is responsible for the operations and management of all testbed’s configuration management within JITC FHU.  They are tasked to provide testbed configuration management operation to implement testbed configuration management policies, procedures, and programs. This effort will involve implementing testbed configuration management software to depict current and future infra-structures of JITC FHU, including testbed electrical power distribution, network and testbed layouts. Testbed Configuration Management is a significant component of the requirements for testbed management. The JITC Fort Huachuca compound currently encompasses labs and personnel space located in 15 facilities including one under construction.



JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 Not limited to but includes:

·        Maintaining, installing, and testing all fiber optic/copper data and voice communication connections, and electronic equipment.

·        Operations and management of all testbed’s configuration management.

·        Testbed configuration management operation to implement testbed configuration management policies, procedures, and programs.


QUALIFICATIONS


Required Certifications

·        Requires at least 1 certification in area of specialization. Related certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience.


Education, Background, and Years of Experience

·        Requires a Bachelor’s degree; or an Associate’s degree and at least 4 years of experience; a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience; or at least 8 years of experience is required.  Additional certifications (other than those required for the position) in the area of specialization be substituted for experience or education but varies by certification. The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


Required Skills

·        O&M in electronic maintenance and installation, cable installation, telephone O&M, configuration management documentation (drawings, presentations, white papers, procedures, etc.)

·        Strong/Natural understanding of and ability to demonstrate the Agile Defense Core Values: Happy, Helpful, Honest, Humble, Hungry, Hustle.


WORKING CONDITIONS


Environmental Conditions

·        Government site with 0%-10% travel possible.

·        The work will be performed on-site at the Joint Interoperability Test Command facilities.

·        As determined by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Project Manager, employees may be required to work at a secondary place of performance.


Strength Demands

·        Heavy – 100 lbs Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
