Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with a focus on telecommunications services to manage, organize, and optimize the billing processes for our telecommunication accounts. This role will primarily involve overseeing invoice management, billing reconciliation, and account authorization administration. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of technology infrastructure, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong commitment to optimizing services and driving cost efficiencies.

Where You Will Work 

Our corporate office is located in the Denver Tech Center. Our office spans the top two floors of the building and features expansive views of the mountains and the downtown skyline. 

AIR values relationships and the benefits from working side by side with teammates, therefore this position will be in-office 5 days a week to support procurement operations.

What You Will Do

  • TEM Provider Oversight: Manage and supervise the performance of our TEM (Telecom Expense Management) provider, ensuring the accurate receipt, coding, and processing of invoices
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline telecommunications services, consolidate resources, and reduce overall costs by collaborating with internal teams to enhance service efficiency
  • Financial Data Analysis: Review and analyze financial reports related to telecommunications services, offering data-driven insights to pinpoint and eliminate unnecessary expenses, while improving overall financial performance
  • Account Management: Oversee account authorization, ensuring accurate setup, access, and timely updates. This includes managing and maintaining online portal access to ensure smooth and secure account operations.
  • Vendor Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for telecommunication service providers, addressing billing discrepancies, resolving issues, and ensuring the accuracy of account information.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, procurement, and external partners, to effectively address challenges.
  • Billing and Ownership Transfers: Oversee and manage billing and ownership transfers, ensuring smooth transitions, accurate updates to accounts, and proper adjustments in billing systems.

Qualifications

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Telecommunications, or related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 2-5 years in billing or financial analysis role.
  • Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiar with telecom services, pricing models, and billing structures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; adaptable to new technologies and trends.

Benefits

  • Expected base pay range of $60,000 - $70,000 annually. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.

What You Need to Know

Application Deadline: The initial deadline for applications is 03/22/2025. Applications submitted after this date may still be considered on a rolling basis until the position/program is filled. Candidates extended an offer will be required to undergo pre-employment screening that includes checking references, a four-panel drug screening that excludes marijuana testing, employment verification & criminal background check.
