Aircraft Mechanic I - Egress

M1 Support Services is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I Egress:

• Performs all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft and equipment egress maintenance, both on and off equipment, on assigned aircraft and equipment IAW the PWS, Company Policy, AFI 21-101, and industry standards.

• Will perform aircraft and equipment maintenance on assigned MDS aircraft in a highly “cross-utilization/trained” environment. Will be required to perform at a high level of competency in one or more of the following areas: repair and reclamation, weapons, electro/environmental, wheel & tire, APG, sheet metal, composite repair, avionics, propulsion, AGE, fuels, non-destructive inspection (NDI), and pneudraulics.

• Maintains aircraft and support equipment forms records IAW AF procedures utilizing AF Information Systems and forms as required.

• Performs transient aircraft support. CDDAR team member. Aircraft servicing/ground handling. Phase team.

• Maintains qualifications contained on the Special Certification Roster (SCR) as directed.

• Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.

• Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Minimum of three years performing aircraft egress maintenance functions in a military environment and attainment of an Air Force 5 level (or equivalent) is required. Egress certification required.

• Working knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts and applications of maintenance directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.

• Knowledge of Air Force supply and efficiency reporting procedures is mandatory.

• Knowledge of the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.

• Must speak, read, write, and understand English.

• Must be able to obtain/maintain the security clearance level as mandated by the government customer.

• Must possess a current valid U.S. Driver’s License.

• Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft.

• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.

• Must be able to work day, night, weekend, or overtime shifts as required.
