About the Role - Site Reliability Engineer

We’re hiring engineers passionate about building innovative tech in a human way. Your work will apply advanced terabyte-scale data analytics to uncover unique correlations, enabling our clients to maximize their marketing and social media efforts.

Tech Stack:

  • Core: JavaScript, Typescript, React, Linux, Apache Druid, Postgres, NodeJS, Apollo Client / Server (GraphQL), AWS

  • Secondary: Sequelize ORM, Bull, Celery, Python, Kafka, Docker, Ansible /Terraform

What you'll do:

  • Ensure platform uptime, stability, and scalability.

  • Automate processes, monitor systems, and proactively identify potential issues.

  • Collaborate with developers and operations teams to optimize infrastructure and performance.

  • Partner with our stellar engineering team to architect, design, document, and build highly-scalable modular code.

  • As a mentor, you’ll help upskill junior and mid-level developers, fostering an environment where we all grow.

We view hiring as a two-way conversation. We also believe speed is paramount in delivering a great candidate experience. Our process is not about whiteboarding or brain teasers. We focus more on getting to know who you are, what you want to do, and how you do your best work. We know you’re busy, so we like to move through it as quickly as you like, suited to your schedule.

Here is our streamlined four-step hiring process for this role:

  1. Get to know you. We’ll learn about you and you’ll hear about the Alembic vision directly from our recruiting team, or from our founder and CEO, Tomás Puig.

  2. Share what we’re building. You’ll meet our Chief Architect, John Adams, who will want to learn about your technical skills and interests.

  3. Meet the team. You’ll meet more on the engineering team, like our CTO/COO, Lloyd Taylor, or a peer engineer, who can share more about Alembic and the role.

  4. Offer Stage. Finally, we gather everything we’ve learned about you to make a swift decision. We'll ask you to introduce us to references at offer stage. If you agree and we all believe you’re the best fit for our team, we’ll share a best offer and a preview of the journey ahead.
