DESCRIPTIONAt Amazon Game Studios (AGS), we’re creating compelling original games in addition to games based on beloved IPs like Lord of the Rings and Tomb Raider. You will play a role in shaping AGS strategy and growth as the finance lead for a collection of game titles.Key job responsibilities- Own game P&L planning and analysis; includes partnering with Franchise Leaders to meet and exceed game profitability targets.- Gain a strong understanding of the game development and publishing processes by becoming embedded with game teams.- Dive into game revenue and cost drivers in order to identify efficiencies.- Contribute to rhythm of the business deliverables by providing commentary as the SME for your games.- Exercise financial controllership over game spending and headcount.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving- 5 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 5 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- MBA, or CPA- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Knowledge of SQL/ETLAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
