Your expertise will be pivotal in integrating enhanced previews, tailoring content recommendations based on user sharing data, and elevating the overall user experience. Your work will directly help customers discover new items to buy and get social validation from sharing behaviors.As an Engineer, you'll be taking a leadership role in defining and delivering the future of sharing on Amazon.You'll collaborate closely with UX designers and product managers to optimize the sharing journey and eliminate any friction. You'll also explore new opportunities to leverage valuable sharing data for social proofing and improved recommendations.By joining our global, growing team, you'll help shape the future of social shopping experiences on Amazon while developing your leadership skills. You'll also manage project deliverables, mentor more junior engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and build and operate high-traffic systems.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications• 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and reactPreferred Qualifications• 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and NodeAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
