Amazon Tickets is a start-up business with a vision of becoming Earth's most customer-centric ticketing company, a place where event-goers can come to find and discover any ticket they might want to buy online. Amazon launched the Tickets business in the UK in 2015 and today offers customers the ability to purchase tickets to music, theater, and comedy events at great prices with a... convenient purchase experience and world-class customer support. As we grow our team to support our rapid expansion we are looking for talented individuals to join us in delighting customers and having some fun along the way.
We are looking for a highly motivated designer with customer-centric UX and visual design skills to create elegant, natural user experiences that meet evolving business needs and influence future patterns for discovering and purchasing tickets to live entertainment events. You will be able to create new experiences for both our consumer and merchant products. You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other UX Designers to champion for our customers and design a world class CX. Most of all, you'll work with a great team full of innovative and fresh thinkers.

Responsibilities include:
Design customer-focused solutions for UI architecture, interface, and interaction flows across experiences and applications
Develop high-level and/or detailed storyboards, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Consider & incorporate user study insights, customer feedback, and market analysis in your designs
Use business requirements and user research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
Organize design work for load balancing and visibility
Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and patterns libraries
Clearly and persuasively communicate, specify, and describe design concepts, solutions, and needs to the development team, product team, and senior executives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience

years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
Proficiency in the latest design tools including as the Adobe suite, Bohemian Sketch, Axure, etc.
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating high-quality user-centered design projects
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience designing web and app-based products
Experience working directly with development and QA teams to build a validate your designs
Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
Ability to define, articulate, evangelize, and integrate the role of design within an organization
Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly websites and user-facing features
Preferred Qualifications
A strong interest or experience in live music, theater, and performance events
Proficiency with HTML/CSS/JS and a technical understanding of the opportunities/constraints of web-based platforms
Visual design expertise as demonstrated through mockups and style guides
