Central to this mission is delivering customer experiences (CXs) that are accessible to everyone. To accomplish that, we are seeking a Sr. UX Designer with demonstrated Accessibility expertise to join our growing team. Prime UX researchers and designers work with global product, marketing, branding, science, and technical team partners to deliver compelling customer experiences for Amazon. This individual will take a lead role to empower designers, product managers, and engineers to build CXs that are accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities.Key job responsibilities• Play an active role in creating and delivering on accessibility strategy for Prime customer experiences.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - UX designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers - to identify and resolve accessibility barriers and embed accessibility audit and remediation processes into the product development lifecycle.• Review designs, mockups, and prototypes to ensure accessibility guidelines and requirements are met, and accessibility specs and annotations are applied.• Create, implement and deliver scalable accessibility training content to provide guidance and direction on accessibility standards and shift-left practice.• Stay up to date with industry developments and trends related to digital accessibility.• Act as a strategic thought partner across the organization on accessibility and advocate for accessibility and inclusive design throughout the organization to drive accessibility program maturity• Present design work to UX partners, cross-disciplinary teams, and executive leaders.Basic Qualifications• 6+ years of design experience• Have an available online portfolio• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax• Experience designing for digital accessibility, including understanding of current international accessibility laws, standards, and best practices.Preferred Qualifications• Experience with UX design of complex workflows• Proficient with testing using screen reader(s) such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and Talkback and accessibility assessment, inspection & evaluation toolsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
