The C-12/King Air OR UC-35 Cessna Citation - Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P). Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 aircraft.(Level of Mechanic is based on years of specific C-12/UC-35 hands-on A&P mechanic experience, per the Union CBA).• Second Shift hours - 2:30 - 11:00 PM is Required.• US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance, and for site base access.• A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required.• Union CBA provides 3 levels of A&P experience based on years of experience on the assigned MDS aircraft C-12/ King Air.• AM-1 - Two (2) Years A&P experience is required, with two (2) or more years of specific C-12/King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation experience.• AM-2 - Five (5) years of specific C-12/ King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation A&P mechanic experience is required.• AM-3 - A Minimum of Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience is required, with Thirteen (13) years of C-12/King Air Or UC-35 Cessna experience required for an AM-3, under the Union CBA.• Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.• These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.• Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.• Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.• Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.• Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.• Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.• Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.• Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.Minimum Requirements• High School diploma or equivalent is required.• A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.• Union CBA Site, provides 3 levels of A&P experience, based on specific years of experience on the MDS aircraft assigned, C-12/King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation.• AM-1 - Two (2) Years A&P experience is required, with two (2) or more years of specific C-12/King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation experience.• AM-2 - Five (5) years of specific C-12/ King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation A&P mechanic experience is required.• AM-3 - A Minimum of Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience is required, with Thirteen (13) years of C-12/King Air Or UC-35 Cessna experience required for an AM-3, under the Union CBA.• A Valid Driver's License is Required.• Mechanics may provide their own Shadowed and Etched Tools and Toolbox. (Personal Tools Must be shadowed and etched with PID). Site does provide Two Smart Box Toolkits for maintenance utilization.• Must be willing and able to work shifts and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation, per the Union CBA. Second Shift 2:30 - 11:00 PM is required.Security Clearance:• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt SECRET Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.Preferred and Physical Qualifications:• Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.• May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.• Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.• Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.• Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.• Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
