We are currently seeking a (Remote) Full-Time -Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist: This position can work from any location within the United States. You must be available to work in Eastern Standard time. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist monitors and analyzes Red Cross Training Services website performance in organic search channel, finds popular and relevant keywords used in search engine queries; inserts those keywords into websites; tests, analyzes, and makes changes to the website so it is optimized for search engines. The SEO specialist works closely with and supports the projects and initiatives led by the SEO/SEM senior manager. The specialist will also with various members of the Marketing organization team members to develop, implement, measure, and refine SEO initiatives. The specialist will report to the Executive Director, Marketing Intelligence and Digital Marketing. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
• Monitor and report on website traffic and conversions to track the effectiveness of SEO strategies.
• Develop daily, weekly, monthly SEO report which includes detailed insights on recent campaigns as well as actionable next steps that tie-back to business objectives.
• Produce comprehensive technical SEO analysis of our site with actionable optimization roadmaps for the development team.
• Monitor our Google Shopping and Bing Shopping data feeds and find optimization opportunities.
• Maintain and optimize our local SEO listings on Google, Bing/Yahoo, and Yelp.
• Conduct keyword research, perform competitive analysis, technical site audits, and leverage SEO best practices to improve our rankings.
• Assist with on-page and off-page SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine visibility of Red Cross Training Services.
• Optimize existing website content for search engines, including title tags, meta descriptions, and headers.
• Help to improve the visibility our existing products on Red Cross Store ( redcross.com/store )
• Help to collaborate with our writer to develop SEO-friendly content that aligns with target keywords and audience intent.
• Standard Schedule: Monday- Friday EST -Standard business hours.
The salary range for this position is $68,472-$91,000. Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. The stated salary range in this posting is an average. The specific salary information will be shared at the time of phone screening based upon your location and qualifications. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Bachelor's degree required
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Familiarity with and experience using SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Ads, SEMrush, Botify, Google Trends).
• High-level proficiency in Google Analytics, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong track record of improving organic search rankings.
• Strong knowledge of SEO principles, algorithms, and best practices.
• Continually current on latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
• An understanding of web design languages including HTML.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work with digital content management systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills required.
• Knowledge of Red Cross structure and operations preferred.
• Travel: Travel may be required.
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Must be good verbal and written communicator. Must have very good home-based internet connectivity. Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
