Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for providing accurate, data based financial planning and reporting. This role will work closely with company-wide stakeholders to help make well informed decisions, write reports, and monitor financial movements. As this is a highly collaborative role, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and can successfully partner with other teams across the organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Core Competencies)

• Build and maintain budgets and forecasts while taking into account company’s goals and financial standing

• Work within FP&A software to build reporting and dashboards to visualize trends, key drivers, and monitor variances

• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with budgets and forecasts

• Assist management with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review memos

• Help reconcile transactions by reviewing and comparing data

• Support department and/or business stakeholders with ad hoc reporting and analysis

• Vendor Analysis, contract management, payment reconciliation, and payment audit

  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Proficient in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) or MS Office

• Experience with statistical analysis a plus but not required

• Programming knowledge (SQL/VBA/Google Apps Script) a plus but not required

  
  

CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE:

• BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field

• While the stated degree is preferred, applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience may also be considered

• Relevant work experience of 2-5 years
