Our Los Angeles (Canoga Park) Scheduling & Material Planning team is currently seeking an experienced Analyst Production Planner to accommodate current business conditions with the required skill set to managing MRP standard and non-standard jobs release. In addition they will use data from Master Scheduler to perform capacity and resource planning for assigned manufacturing areas.
This position will work directly with Master Scheduling, Operation Integrators, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Buyers on a daily basis. This position will also be required to communicate program delivery concerns to both internal and external customers. The successful candidate will report directly LA Material Planning Manager and support our Canoga Park, CA facility.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient release and management of purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders of engine components to support engine assembly and on time delivery. Responsibilities include the following:
40% - Plan, create, and maintain manufacturing schedules according to the Production Plan.
30% - MRP System analysis, inventory, and Item Master accuracy.
15% - Release of MBOM requirements.
15% - Processing inventory transfers, non-standard job closure, and tool order release.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's in Business Management/Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other Technical Degree and three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates must have ERP/MRP system (Oracle preferred) knowledge, proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. Good problem solving ability, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must also have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-function/cross-site teams. Operations, Procurement, Scheduling and Engineering Value Stream experience.
APICS certification a plus.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Pay range for this position:: 60,500 - 84,500 per year Note about pay range:: Pay range for this job level is a general guideline only for California and/or Washington State and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
