Research Engineer, Metaprompting

Anthropic is looking for a Senior Research Engineer to develop automated prompting techniques for AI models and to create and optimize data mixes for model training.

Skills

ML research experience
Familiarity with large language models
Experience with language model behavior testing
Good communication skills
Interest in working on difficult prompting tasks

Responsibilities

Develop automated prompting techniques for models
Lead automated evaluation of models and prompts
Create and optimize data mixes for model training
Develop new prompting strategies for research tasks
Maintain infrastructure for prompt iteration and testing
Develop future products built on AI models
Stay updated with research in prompting and model orchestration

Education

Advanced degree in a technical field or evidence of programming experience
