Senior Backend Engineer

Apollo.io is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to be part of their growing company, working on implementing best practices in technology, architecture, and process.

Skills

Minimum 8 years of backend development experience
Experience in developing distributed web applications
Strong knowledge of database modeling and RESTful services
Good understanding of computer science fundamentals

Responsibilities

Design and implement highly scalable backend endpoints
Gather product requirements and write design docs
Drive/Lead full lifecycle of software development
Mentor others on best practices
Communicate development progress effectively
Introduce new technologies and ideas
Attend scrum meetings and engage in team activities
Provide feedback to co-workers
Be a proactive problem solver
Own projects from start to finish

Education

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar (Nice to have)
