Salary Range: $66,500 - $99,750

• DoD IAT Level I Certification. (Must obtain within 6 months of starting.)

SUMMARY
The United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) is a major command of the United States Army headquartered at Fort Eustis, Virginia. It is charged with overseeing the training of Army forces and the development of operational doctrine. TRADOC recruits, trains, educates, develops, and builds the Army, establishes standards, drives improvement, and leads change to ensure the Army can deter, fight, and win on any battlefield now and into the future.

TRADOC (United States Army Training and Doctrine Command) has a large number of applications that are preparing to move to a new cloud environment. This role will focus on the evaluation of these applications and contribute to the modernization of these applications as they migrate to the new cloud environment. In the case that an application is ready to move to the new environment, this role will facilitate a “lift and shift” alongside cloud engineers also a part of the TCASS team. This role will be acting based on requirements from stakeholders (Government, Vendors, Contractors) at varying levels and gathering information based on their needs. Our personnel working on TCASS (TRADOC Cloud and Ancillary Support Services) are drivers of innovation and efficiency, we want any new member of the team to have the same mindset.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create or modify applications based on direction from the Software Architect.
• Prioritize and estimate workload based on story points.
• Work with Software Architect to determine level of effort required for a feature, user story, or task
• Ensure modernization efforts are following cARMY guidelines
• Work with Data Management team to ensure successful cloud data structure/access for migrated applications
• Create Releases/Pipelines
• Assist in evaluate of applications/tools readiness level for Cloud environments
• Build out functionality for Reporting status
• Participate in the Software Testing Process

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications

• DoD IAT Level I Certification. (Must obtain within 6 months of starting.)

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience (with BA/BS). 7+ years experience (with AA).

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills

• Power Platforms experience strongly desired (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc)
• .NET, C#, ASP, ASP.net
• Tracking work in tools such as Azure DevOps (Boards) or Jira
• Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus
• Experience participating in Kanban or Scrum ceremonies a plus
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS : IL2 and IL4 environments
• Willingness to learn and grow as part of a team driving innovation for our customer

Preferred Skills

• Communication Skills - Ability to interface with leadership and communicate status of projects.
• Team-centric mindset - The right candidate will work to empower the team by communicating and contributing in a meaningful way.
• Documentation skills - views documentation as a necessity throughout the life of the project

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions

• Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Strength Demands

• Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
