Applications Administrator

We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Job Summary:
Provide planning, analyzing, coordinating, supporting, and maintaining districtwide software applications.
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer software systems related to the main administrative information system, including Banner Workflow, fsaAtlas, Banner Document Management System and Banner Enterprise Job Scheduler, and Salesforce. Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
  • Install, configure, maintain, test, and upgrade application software and any required technologies in support of the applications. Create and maintain end user accounts and security.
  • Work in conjunction with technology services and functional area staff in fully utilizing the assigned administrative information systems.
  • Coordinate the testing and implementation of upgrades to the college’s administrative information system and related products. Migrate products from test to production.
  • Ensure reliable backup and recovery of necessary data exists on the college’s administrative systems.
  • Analyze problems with the college’s administrative information systems. Work with application developers, database administrators, and systems administrators as necessary in determining the proper hardware and software specifications and diagnose system errors. Work with technology services staff in planning for hardware and software upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain procedures related to day-to-day administrative information systems administration, security, backup and recovery routines.

  • Knowledge of existing systems in Collin College
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
  • Knowledge of Oracle Client
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Banner Document System
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Workflor
  • Knowledge of Evisions MAPS, Argos, Intellecheck, Form Fusion
  • Knowledge of FreshService call logging system
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, or other customer relationship management (CRM) platform
  • Researching skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.


Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a directly related field and five (5) years of related experience required.
Equivalency Language
Associate degree, or at least 60 semester hours with (7) years of related experience.
