Applications Engineering Consultant, Emulation (Remote - Irvine, CA)

Job Description:

Work with customers as a world leader in electronic design automation solutions, providing services for the world's largest electronics and semiconductor companies.

• Support state-of-the-art Siemens EDA emulation tools.
• As an Applications Engineer, you will contribute to our success by assisting in the sales and deployment of Siemens EDA emulation and hardware-assisted verification products and increasing customer satisfaction and productivity on-site and remotely.
• Responsibilities include driving business for Siemens EDA using hands-on technical expertise.
• Requires working directly with customers as a part of the sales team during product evaluations to ensure technical milestones are met.
• Promote technical customer service to build and improve customer relationships to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with area sales management, account teams, and customers to understand business opportunities and requirements.
• Provide feedback and product ideas to our emulation product development teams. Troubleshoot and remove technical obstacles.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations on new features and product updates. Communicate customers' technical requirements to product marketing.
• Develop a network of technical relationships at a peer-to-peer level with our customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS or MS in EE, CE, CS, or related areas from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 6+ years in design, verification, simulation, emulation, and prototyping of electronic chips and systems
• SystemVerilog, Verilog, and VHDL RTL design experience
• ASIC and/or FPGA implementation experience(synthesis, place&route)
• Debug RTL designs and simulation
• Proficient in scripting languages used today(e.g., Perl, Python, various shell scripts/Makefiles, XML, JSON, etc.)
• A competitive personality is driven to win ethically in competitive business situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create and deliver product demos, live via the internet or recorded.
• Ability to create and deliver product presentations focused on functionality and value differentiation.
• Ability to travel domestically. Travel includes customer meetings and visits to other Siemens EDA sites.

• Experience with emulation

The total cash compensation range for this position is $156,300 to $312,600, with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target _._ The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
