Applications Processor - Data Entry
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth
Position Summary
-
Data entry into NCR’s internal systems which drive the downstream underwriting decision process.

Collecting data from a variety of websites via semi-automated and manual efforts so that quality underwriting decisions can be made.

Answer merchant and sales agent questions, explains underwriting requirements for booking new accounts.

Create necessary forms and/or documents to provision a new merchant processing account.

Follow up via phone and email with applicants where incomplete or inaccurate information was provided

Provide assistance in obtaining incremental documents requested by the Underwriters.

Creating and disseminating VAR sheets to downstream teams for accurate and timely setup of the merchant account.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Highly fast and accurate typing skills
-
Detail orientation in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate effectively, both speaking and in writing.

Quality assurance skills to quickly spot data entry errors and take steps to fix.

Ability to reviews and update Merchant Accounts as necessary with additional information.
-
Contacts Relationship Managers, and Office Admins, to obtain further information when required
Education and/or Experience Requirements
-
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
-
One year of customer service or data entry experience or completion of an approved education program or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Minimum Typing Speed Required: 30 words per minute or higher keyboarding speed with high accuracy

Command of the Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Communications Skills
-
Ability to read and interpret documents such as underwriting rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, policies and memorandums.

Ability to write routine correspondence and communicate effectively and tactfully, orally and in writing with employees, merchants, vendors and management

Must possess the ability to speak clearly so others can understand
-
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
Additional Skills

Reasoning Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.

Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
