Apprentice Building Engineer

We have an immediate need for a Commercial Apprentice Building Engineer! If you are in the Tomball/Spring/The Woodlands/Humble areas, this is an opportunity for you!

The Apprentice Engineer role reports to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for performing quality cleaning and maintenance in a timely manner as directed by the Chief Engineer.

• Inspect exterior of the property and remove all trash and litter daily.
• Light bulb and ballast change
• Clean common areas to include trash removal
• Sweep/blow garage, breezeways, and sidewalks
• Pressure wash buildings, walkways and other areas needed.
• Light painting of curbs, signposts and other areas
• Complete special projects as may be assigned and prioritized by the Chief Engineer or Property Manager.
• Constantly observe conditions of property, report and/or initiate action to correct unsafe conditions immediately.
• Complete visual inspection of fire life safety and lighting equipment on a monthly schedule.
• The Apprentice Engineer is responsible for being prepared and available during emergency situations to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the property. Emergency situations are defined as inclement weather, severe weather, threats, or any other catastrophic event and may require extended period of onsite lodging during an emergency.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, understand & comply with product labels, safety, policy & procedure manuals
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be a self-starter who can work efficiently with little supervision
• Assist management team with other various tasks
• Good time management skills
• Uses reasoned judgment
• Ability to think analytically, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
