The Event Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, analyzing, and supporting North American automotive and technology focused events. This role requires flawless execution of selected events. Execution includes detailed planning, logistical coordination across vendors, performance analysis, budget management and reporting to ensure the success of responsible events. This is a dynamic role in a fast paced environment, requiring someone with strong attention to detail and a collaborative personality willing to work across business units and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have an experienced background in event management, omnichannel marketing program delivery, data analysis, and a passion for the automotive industry.Key Responsibilities:Event Production and Coordination:• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to plan and execute events• Coordinate all event logistics from internal on-site customer events to varying scale of tradeshows and exhibits• Develop detailed event timelines and production schedules• Participate in research and review of events for participationEffective Communicator:• Manage day to day communications with their Manager, clearly define urgent items and roadblocks to execution• Liaise with consumer and product marketing leads, commercial teams, and product teams to align event goals with appropriate technology content and company objectives• Communicate effectively with external partners and vendors to ensure successful event execution and all expectations are met and delivered on• Prepare presentations on event performance and insights, experience delivering metrics that deliver an impactful and actionable messageBudget Management• Detailed estimating skills in order to plan and deliver events to the approved budget• Thorough tracking of budget and communication with both internal and external stakeholders to maximize event budget• Ability to learn internal budgeting system, PO management and required tools to track budgetsData Collection and Analysis:• Collect and analyze data from events to assess performance and identify areas for improvement• Provide detailed post-event analysis and reports to stakeholders• Detailed tracking throughout the year of ongoing event performance tied into key business pursuits across business unitsAutomotive Market Research:• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the automotive event space as it relates to event execution, registration, technology, vendors• Familiar with and actively monitoring competitor activities and industry developments• Tracking and on the forefront of new event technologies across relevant industriesTechnology Utilization:• Utilize event management software and tools to streamline planning and reporting processes• Stay updated with the latest technologies and tools to enhance event effectivenessQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in event planning and analysis, preferably within the automotive or technology industry• Proven track record of successfully managing and analyzing small to large-scale events• Experience working with agency vendors and partners for successful partner management and communication• Experience managing event and production timelines across a large scale company and cross channel workstreams to deliver a successful outcomeSkills:• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills• Excellent organizational and project management abilities• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Understanding and delivery of performance measured omnichannel marketing programs including events, crm, account based marketing, digital, social, pr, internal comms, investor relations• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and event management software (Cvent or other event management registration platform)• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesAdditional Information• Up to 10% of time / travel required for execution and delivery customer events• Fast-paced and dynamic work environment#LI-PG2Privacy Notice - Active Candidates: https://www.aptiv.com/privacy-notice-active-candidatesAptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
