SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONEThis position is part of our Electrical Distribution Services segment.We have been designing electrical architectures for more than 100 years and leading the industry in the evolution of vehicle architectures. We like to think of the electrical distribution system as a nervous system, moving power and data throughout a vehicle. High-speed data transmission systems send information from the vehicle’s eyes and ears (sensors) to the brain (computing platforms).We bring our deep experience and systems integration expertise, whether we are building to print or providing full design services of the entire vehicle electrical architecture. We solve our customers’ most challenging problems.POSITION SUMMARYAs a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, you will be responsible for coordinating the financial planning process across the business unit (BU), including financial close and forecasting processes. Assist in helping drive overall business planning activities, data analysis and process improvement initiatives. Additionally, responsible for interacting with regional BU finance, regional non-finance functions and overall global finance organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Work with regions to get EDS monthly actual/forecast revenue and prepare consolidated EDS BU financials• Ensure results are consistent across deliverables and aligned across constituents• Provide meaningful revenue analysis: volume drivers by customer, segment, powertrain and others; price variances, FX/Comm variances; others.• Work with the regions as well as VP of Engineering for EDS to ensure forecasts and budgets are prepared and tie out, and that costs/drivers are understood and documented• Build a model to understand the profitability/customer recovery of engineering costs across the EDS regions for reporting each month identifying corrective action/recommendations• Ensure that engineering reporting is compliant with company policy• Ensure all corporate and divisional allocations through EDS are understood, correct, documented, communicated and actioned• Highlight and discuss the main drivers of various performance variances• Ad hoc analysis as required by FP&A team• Support in the wider preparation of close, MBR/QBR and budget work in the Global FP&A TeamBasic Skills/Qualification:• Bachelor degree in Finance and/or Accounting• 2+ years’ experience in finance• 2+ years’ experience of financial analysis• Strong planning and time management abilities• Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.• Sound communication skills: written and verbal along with individual, team and group environments• Microsoft Excel (Advanced), able to handle large data sets• Basic Knowledge of SAP ERP system, Hyperion (HFM)• English (Proficient)Preferred Skills/Qualifications:• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment: problem solving/decision making• Sound communication skills: written and verbal along with individual, team and group environments• Prior operations/plant finance experience; Prior FP&A experience preferred• Manufacturing/Automotive sector experience preferredTraits to seek in candidate:• Curiously investigate everything – ability to solve problems analytically, creatively and collaboratively• Embrace resilience – seeing every challenge as a learning opportunity and invitation to grow• Influence – ability to convince others on course of action• Team player – ability to handle feedback positively and adapt into operationsWhy join us?• You can grow at Aptiv.
