Communications Intern

    This position is part of global communications.

    Summary:

    Our global communications team strives to implement strategic communications programs that engage, inspire and align employees with Aptiv’s vision and culture and promote our brand, telling the important stories across the organization that reflect our industry leadership. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on critical internal and external communications initiatives that further enhance our culture and the employee experience, as well as tell the compelling story of how Aptiv’s portfolio of products are helping to make the world safer, greener, and more connected.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop communications for employees across global channels, including intranet, mobile app and live meetings
    • Produce materials such as emails, newsletters, announcements and video scripts
    • Work closely with corporate marketing and communications teams, aligning on the editorial calendar and events
    • Support employer branding initiatives and local events on the Troy campus to engage employees as well as social media activities
    • Keep a pulse on employee feedback and sentiment, drive continuous improvement

    Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

    • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications or a related field.
    • Must be graduating between December 2023 and June 2025
    • Demonstrated leadership in the field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations
    • Ability to work full time – 40 hours per week during the summer months

    • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization
    • Ability to work independently and with a team
    • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, take initiative
