Content Editor

We are looking for a content developer to create customer-focused content for Cloud services.• Work, and provide editorial support, for a large group of global writers in the Java content ecosystem.• Respond to reviewer feedback and incorporate this feedback as needed.• Work with our product group to continually improve and maintain existing documentation sets.• Test and validate the content scenarios that will be published to customers.• Use content team tools, process, and authoring and publishing guidelines to deliver high quality documentation.• Collaborate frequently with content, PM, and engineering partners across a broad set of Azure services to ensure quality, and timely delivery, for our documentation projects.Qualifications:Requirements:• 5 years of technical editing experience and/or experience creating technical documentation for an IT pro, developer, or DevOps audience.• Extensive experience with GitHub.• Strong editorial background needed - must have significant content editing expertise to assist our contributing writer base during publishing cycles (grammatical sweeps, copy editing, alignment to our content style guidelines).• Strong understanding of command line Git/GitHub and working with several contributors on pull requests.• Experience with Azure or another cloud-based provider.Preferred:• Experience with command line.• Self-starter who works well independently and with others.• Comfortable with command line and Bash shell• Strong written and verbal English skills.• Knowledge of other programming languages will be helpful.• Skilled at organizing and prioritizing your assigned workloads.
