Mechanical Engineer

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design, build and operate integrated test labs for their eVTOL aircraft.

Skills

Strong mechanical design skills
Familiarity with aerospace or automotive lab test hardware
Hands-on skills with mechanical and electrical systems
Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter (Bonus)

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate integrated test labs
Develop mechanical test equipment requirements
Design test rigs and test benches
Complete handbook calculations for design verification
Manage CAD library of test equipment
Manage external suppliers for lab components
Aid in installation and check-out of test equipment

Education

BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
