General Job Description:

The Reconciliation Specialist position at Archer offers exposure to multiple functions within investment operations providing middle and back-office support for our Institutional clients. The Reconciliation Specialist role is primarily responsible for new account onboarding, transaction processing, reconciliation, and providing exceptional client service. Critical thinking and independent judgement will be expected as the Reconciliation Specialist completes or approves tasks, investigates, or escalates issues and addresses client inquiries. An innovative mindset will be a must while the specialist participates in process improvement initiatives with a focus on controls and increasing efficiency and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Establish new accounts and process account maintenance items
• Investigate and resolve all cash and position exceptions across accounts
• Validate and process transactions in client accounts
• Execute daily control tasks
• Identify and resolve complex issues with custodians, banks, and brokers with minimal supervision
• Respond to various requests from intermediaries in a timely and professional manner
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Core Processes
• Work with Archer Technology Team to complete root cause analysis on Issues and discrepancies and help implement enhancements
• Assist in firm-wide and or departmental projects, as needed

Position Requirements/Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred
• 1-5 years’ experience in a related capacity, preferably in institutional reconciliation
• Experience with fixed income is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of quality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong product knowledge; specifically fixed income, equity, and derivative security types
• Critical thinking with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team player with a collaborative and innovative spirit
• Excellent technical skills, specifically with Microsoft Office products with an ability to quickly learn new software applications and proprietary systems
• Must demonstrate personal excellence including punctuality, integrity, and accountability
• Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment
