Senior Salesforce Engineer

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Senior Salesforce Engineer you develop, deploy, analyze, utilize, and maintain software, tools, applications, and information systems to meet the business requirements of the company in a demanding global marketplace. In this role, you will contribute to the development of our Salesforce CRM platforms, exploration, and development of other domain-related application technologies, as well as coach peer developers, support activities, and contribute to the technology strategy for Arc’teryx.

You will also contribute to the application development and architecture, design methodology, and technology strategy alongside architects and the development lead. Your balance of strong technical skills, technology acumen, and people skills contributes to consistent, high-quality, and timely solutions for the internal business clients.

This role can be hired remote. Business operations occur in Pacific time zone.



Meet Your Future Team:

 

You will be working on a small and collaborative team that works with many departments across Arc’teryx. We value learning and growth and strive to deliver the best solutions to the teams using our Salesforce applications and other systems.

 

The team is responsible for building and maintaining our CRM. The team is organized into squads that include other developers, Administrators, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts and Project Managers. Salesforce Developers work closely and collaboratively with many other teams including Infrastructure, Guest Services, ReBIRD, Marketing, and Analytics. 


If you were the Senior Salesforce Engineer role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Communicating project and operation status, issues, risks and resolutions in an agile development methodology 
  • Providing coaching to your peers on the Salesforce development teams in all phases of the project life cycle 
  • Building solutions in Salesforce using APEX, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Aura
  • Providing expertise and recommendations on declarative vs non declarative (code) solutions
  • Building and continually evolving the DevOps strategy at Arc’teryx with industry trends and best practices
  • Developing and managing integration endpoints to and from the Salesforce platform
  • Working with large volumes of data with data loader and building data mapping processes
  • Analyzing Salesforce technical debt and propose solutions and implement solutions
  • Leading proactive system maintenance and code monitoring including security reviews, release updates, and code reviews of other developers
  • Contributing to Salesforce architecture, data model, security, and integration capabilities
  • Providing documentation, training, consulting and insights on Salesforce best practices, trends, and upcoming features to Arc’teryx teams
  • Developing functional specifications and designs for future focused complex applications, or modifying/maintaining complex existing applications 
  • Reviewing the designs and code of team members, often in collaboration with colleagues and Architects

  • Focusing on growing and building scalable solutions on our Sales and Service cloud environments
  • Initiating and championing code reuse, eliminating tech debt, platform optimization, and quality across various applications 
  • Implementing and streamlining processes that validate compliance, security, and performance
  • Developing custom or declarative components to connect our data through our growing suite of Salesforce products which include Experience cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Personalization
  • Supporting the rest of the team with technical guidance.


Are you our next Senior Salesforce Engineer?
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • You have 5+ years of experience on the Salesforce Platform delivering medium/large projects/programs using customization and out-of-the-box configurative solutions
  • You have experience working on Service, Sales and Experience Cloud
  • You have completed the Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer 1, Platform developer 2, Minimum of two Architect Level certifications
  • You have strong experience with Salesforce programmatic languages APEX, LWC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Aura
  • You have experience integrating Salesforce Applications with External Systems using REST, SOAP, GraphQL API’s
  • You have experience working with product managers and business analysts to aid in the analysis of business requirements and evaluation of solution alternatives on the Salesforce platform
  • You have a strong understanding of where Salesforce has been (e.g. Classic, Workflows) and where it is going (e.g. Einstein AI, Omnistudio) to be able to understand root cause of issues because of legacy platform architecture
  • You have a proactive attitude to platform enhancements
  • You build strong test scripts and thoroughly test your solutions
  • You have strong attention to detail and ability to create & follow documentation
  • You have demonstrated success working in an Agile methodology, are familiar with tools like Jira and DevOps practices
  • You have excellent communication and influencing skills
  • You have excellent time management skills with the ability to plan and meet deadlines
  • You have a passion for Salesforce technology and continuous improvement
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

$91,000 - $114,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$91,000 - CAD$114,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
