Contract Specialist

ARETUM, a premier government contracting firm specializing in innovative technology-enabled mission support services, is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing various contract processes, ensuring that all contractual agreements are executed efficiently and adhere to compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with the Program Management Office and other functions as required in the duties of contract negotiations, contract overview, and contract administration.
  • Ensures compliance with all contractual policies and regulations, to include FAR regulations.
  • Ensures that all contractual related matters are conducted through the appropriate channels in compliance with policies and processes.
  • Works in a cross-functional environment while engaging with internal staff for contract management.
  • Participates in proposal support and preparation of Contracts Volumes, OCI Volumes, Cost Volumes, and reviews all solicitation documents for compliance and submission of proposals.
  • Ensures that all files are accurate and auditable.
  • Assists with annual compliance procedures related to GSA Schedules, and GSA sales reporting.
  • Assists with SAM for all entities under Aretum.
  • Will assist with all contracts related data calls.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, (or a related field). (Preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of diversified experience and progressive responsibility with quantifiable results in contract negotiation, administration and/or management. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Government Contracting knowledge is (REQUIRED).
  • Must be familiar with FAR and DFAR clauses.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
  • Ability to manage workload and accommodate ad hoc tasks within designated constraints and timelines.
  • Basic level skills for SharePoint including access management, maintaining SharePoint document repository.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Active Secret Clearance
