We draw on each other's strengths and allow for different work styles to build engagement and satisfaction to deliver results.The Architectural & Design Sales Manager will interact with architects, interior designers, owners, and facility managers to influence and hold the specification of Armstrong Commercial Ceiling, Wall and Specialty Systems. Additionally, this role will be responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales budget regarding price, volume, and mix as well as partnering with other Armstrong sales reps to drive improved business results.What's in it for you!• A supportive team environment• Opportunity to build relationships• Flexibility and opportunity to build your successWhat You'll Do• Achieving the territory’s sales goals and growing the business by increasing market share, improving product mix, increasing average unit price, sales, volume, mix, and introducing new products.• Influencing people who make the specification decisions and have a positive influence on others’ behavior.• Assisting architects and designers in writing specifications for Armstrong Commercial Ceilings, Suspension Systems, Architectural Specialties, and wall systems.• Tracking projects with the Armstrong team members to establish plans for the sales of Armstrong products in these buildings.• Growing the business and increasing market share by creating customer value and competitive advantage.• Learning and continuously improving through individual and team learning and development initiatives.What will make you succcessful• Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities• Ability and experience to plan effectively, both short and long term• Working knowledge and experience with construction, contracting, and distribution• Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Windows applicationsQualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Science or a related field• 3+ years of architectural sales experience.What makes you stand out• Knowledge of specification sales, market segments, customers, and distribution channels• Experience with SalesForce• Proven success in architectural selling• Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and coachable• Ability to build and leverage relationships with customers (architects, designers, distributors, sub-contractors, GC, and owners)• Flexibility to make a sales call in a downtown office building or on a job site and periodic over-night travel to call on ND & SD firmsWhy should you join Armstrong World Industries?Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative commercial and residential ceiling, wall and suspension system solutions in the Americas.
