Position Summary

The Data Analyst works with cross-functional teams to support reporting and product definition needs. The role will involve researching information in large databases to provide reporting and troubleshooting issues from the Resort Technology Partners (RTP) point of sale. This position reports to the Finance & Revenue Manager.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $78,175 - $101,527.  Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and organize available data across multiple resorts and business units
  • Inspect, clean, and transform data provided from the RTP point of sale system
  • Create business driven financial reports and dashboards to be distributed on a weekly basis to key business owners
  • Define structure terminology for point of sale products to be used consistently across the company
  • Establish and preserve a mapping table for products on the RTP point of sale system for financial reporting and other areas of the business
  • Collaborate with Product Set Up, Ski and Ride School, Rental/Retail and other areas as necessary to understand best use cases for the data.
  • Document best practices for reporting that allows for consistent approaches for customer segmentation and product reporting
  • Design and implement ad-hoc research and data analysis that answer specific business questions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field required
  • 2+ years of reporting experience in an Analyst or similar role required

Knowledge, Skill & Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge in Excel, PowerPivot and PowerBI
  • Proficient knowledge in RTP
  • Proficient knowledge in SQL
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate a significant amount of information
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to be on a computer for the majority of the workday

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift, executing repetitive movements. 
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
