Covina Manufacturing Assembler I
JOB SUMMARY
This position is required to work cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture high quality medical devices and meet daily productivity and quality targets. Duties are performed inside a Controlled Environment Manufacturing Facility (CEMA). The individual is required to wear protective clothing, per local requirements, and to maintain a high level of personal hygiene to reduce contamination of the products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties
Performs inspections and/or tests of various component parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies for disposable medical products to confirm compliance with all current, applicable documentation. Inspection methods may include visual inspection, dimensional inspection, functional inspection, weights, and mechanical property testing. Sets up and operates equipment, as required, to complete these tasks.
Accurately completes required Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) documentation and paperwork.
Acts as a trainer for assembly and packing functions.
Rotates to all assembly and packaging functions; Acts as a back-up machine operator as required.
Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other applicable documentation, assembles medical devices by performing a variety of tasks.
Alerts appropriate personnel to any potential quality issues discovered and stops the line until further direction is received.
Operation/verification of machines/equipment to support operations (e.g., pallet jacks, printers, packaging).
May replenish materials, as needed, in accordance with GMP (for example, loads product for sterilization, loads product onto conveyor).
May verify information, identification, product quantity and documents on production records (e.g., sterilization, seeded samples placement, product quantity loaded, solution fill data).
Completes daily cleaning tasks and maintains a clean and well-organized work area.
Follows all company and facility safety policies, procedures and guidelines. Immediately reports potentially hazardous situations.
Performs other tasks as required.

1 year Manufacturing experience in a medical device, or closely related industry Required

Pay Transparency:
The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.
In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, “flexible time off” for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks’ vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.
