Assembly Line Worker (Direct Hire 3rd shift)

Valeo is looking to Direct Hire 3rd shift operators. You will be required to connect parts into more complex components. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product shipment to the end customer. You will use your hands or machines to do the job with greater precision. You need to have, but not required good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. Ability to read instructions in English represented in Work Instructions and the ability to follow them is extremely important. This position pays $18.45/hr with $1/hr shift differential, and is eligible for a $500 sign on bonus if longevity conditions met.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
• Align material and put together parts to build units
• Check output to ensure highest quality
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

Skills

• Proven experience as assembler
• Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps, screw guns) and machines (e.g. presses)
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
• High school diploma; Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated
