Assistant Controller

Equitybee is looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Controller with an analytical orientation to join our team. The Assistant Financial Controller will support the accounting assignments & reporting, and the day-to-day financial activities of the company. In addition, the Assistant Financial Controller will play a key role in the financial planning process and provide insights for decision making and potential improvements. This position will report directly to our Global Head of Finance and partner cross-functionally with different teams within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the daily operations of the accounting department
• Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process
• Lead the bookkeeping team and support the day to-day finance operations both in IL and US
• Work with external auditors during preparation of yearly financial audits & tax reports
• Monitor and audit payroll and other financial processes
• Ensure compliance with all tax reporting requirements- including income tax, sales tax and employment taxes. Prepare and file tax exemption requests to the ITA
• Monitor bank accounts and prepare cash management reports to ensure proper cash flow
• Other ad-hoc accounting and financial projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

• CPA with a BIG4 accounting firm experience - MUST
• Minimum of 2 years of experience following CPA internship -
  Hi-Tech departments in BIG4 are a massive advantage
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other team members
• Superior attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
• Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Work ethic: self-accountable, honest, dependable
