KEY RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:

  • Collaborate with the Finance team to document and ensure adherence to internal controls, actively participating in the implementation of updated policies and procedures under the guidance of the Controller.
  • Conduct thorough research and successfully resolved any discrepancies found during account reconciliations.
  • Work closely with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely year-end closing and reporting.
  • Prepare equity journal entries, in addition to reviewing various financial components such as payroll, prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation, general ledger journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Play a key role in the preparation of monthly financial statements and diligently review audit schedules for the year-end audit.
  • Efficiently coordinate the filing of 1099s.
  • Analyze Comparative Balance Sheet and P&L reports, identifying variances, investigating root causes, and offering recommendations for adjustments.
  • Provided reliable backup support for T&E processing.
  • Conducted assessments of existing practices and procedures, proactively suggesting areas for improvement.
  • Participate in special projects related to financial reporting and other relevant initiatives.
  • Identify potential accounting gaps and weaknesses in internal controls, conduct research to propose effective solutions, and present recommendations to the Controller for further evaluation.
  • Demonstrate leadership by leading or assisting in completing the month-end close process.

QUALIFICIATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting.
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting/finance may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
  • Previous experience of 2 to 3 years in public accounting would be viewed as advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold strict confidentiality regarding client, company, and personnel information.
  • Profound knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and adeptness in managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Capable of working independently while also being receptive to guidance when necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with intermediate to advanced skills, including expertise in V-Lookups, Formulas, index/match, Pivot Tables, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, displaying the ability to tailor messages appropriately for different audiences.
  • Exposure to NetSuite would be considered a valuable additional qualification.

SALARY RANGE: $110,000-$120,000
