Oversee all aspects of financial aid, including, but not limited to the distribution of: all athletic scholarships, NCAA National Letters of Intent (NLIs), Big Ten Tenders (financial aid agreements), Post-Eligibility Opportunity (PEO) scholarships, N-Vest Fund allotments, and the NCAA Student Assistance Fund. Analyze documentation associated with financial aid according to NCAA and Big Ten Conference regulations for possible violations. Implement, update and maintain policies and procedures and complete any/all associated reports. Provide financial aid, team travel, and vacation period expense-related education and interpretations to coaches, staff, student-athletes, parents, and University personnel. Provide general compliance rules education programming for the same groups. Responsible for reviewing and processing all requests related to team travel and vacation period expenses for student-athletes and analyzing associated documents, policies, and procedures. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Minimum required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of full-time experience working in a NCAA Division I Athletics Compliance office or a University Financial Aid. Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules and/or Federal, State, and University financial aid rules and regulations. Excellent communication skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or J.D. preferred. Criminal history background check will be conducted. Excellent benefits including staff/dependent scholarship program.
