Assistant Maintenance Supervisor: Carriage House Muskegon

Overview: We are looking for a capable Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Carriage House/Hickory Village apartment community in Muskegon, MI!
**We are offering a one-time $1,000 hiring bonus for this position (paid after 6 months of employment)**
The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds and perform the duties of the MS in his/her absence.
Responsibilities: The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor must be able to perform the following tasks:

• Repair and maintain simple electrical circuits, switches, outlets and lighting fixtures.
• Service, maintain and trouble shoot HVAC systems.
• Install and repair carpeting and tile.
• Repair, install and maintain basic plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets, dishwashers.
• Maintain lawns, grounds, landscaping and parking lots including snow removal.
• Repair and maintain building exteriors and roofs.
• Cleaning and housekeeping of common areas and vacant units.
• Repair and painting of vacant units.
• Perform emergency repairs.
• Create and sustain a positive work environment at the community and accomplish the objectives of the Corporate Performance Management program.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
• Demonstrated ability or experience in the maintenance field desirable.
• Must maintain universal EPA designation/certification.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Able to work overtime and emergency call in.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
