The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction in Computer Engineering to begin in Fall 2023 to teach 3-4 primarily undergraduate courses per semester. This non-tenure track position is full-time and benefits eligible. The position will be in support of the recently created Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at UTEP.

Qualified applicants from all areas of computer engineering (or equivalent preparation) are welcome to apply. Priority will be given to applicants with expertise to teach core undergraduate courses in support of the computer engineering program in the areas of software engineering, embedded systems, digital systems design, computer architecture, and operating systems.

Candidates will be expected to engage in primarily undergraduate and some graduate teaching,and contribute to institutional and professional service. The application materials should clearly demonstrate the potential of the candidate to succeed in meeting these expectations.


Job Requirements:


A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or equivalent with two years of teaching experience in post-secondary education. Commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. Demonstrated commitment to student mentoring and support. Excellent communication skills are required.
