Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties:
Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in a variety of delivery methods in Business Communications, Management and Public Relations.Other responsibilities include advising, program development, outcomes assessment, and service activities. The College of Business is AACSB accredited, and engagement activities are expected. This is a campus based position.
Required Education:
Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree
Discipline / Degree Area:

Required Specialized Training/Certifications:
Required Minimum Work Experience:
Ph. D from an accredited university.
Experience teaching business writing and public relations messaging and campaigns.
The successful candidate will be an effective and innovative teacher responsible for instructing primarily undergraduate business communications and public relations courses, with an emphasis on writing skills for business contexts and audiences. In addition, candidates should have two to four years of successful teaching in higher education. Demonstrated success in multiple delivery formats (face-to-face, asynchronous and synchronous).

Demonstrated evidence of a commitment to teaching excellence.
Previous preparation and teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
Contribute to the assimilation of assessment information and data as needed.
Mentor and/or advise undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Establish and/or continue research in a communication-related area.
Continue to expand professional influence in the academic discipline through presentations, research and/or publication.
Engage in service within the College of Business, the University, and the profession as appropriate based on teaching and research constraints.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Evidence of proficiency with various social media platforms used in business for advertising, public service announcements, public relations campaigns and recruiting. Knowledge and teaching effectiveness in crafting effective communication within multiple contexts, genres, platforms and audiences, while attend to ethics in communciation design and delivery.
Knowledge of and ability to become SA qualified according to CoB guidelines and AACSB standards.
