This position is available at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. The research project is cancer biology and immunotherapy. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the research projects currently underway in Dr. Liang Xu's laboratory including, but not limited to, cancer biology, immunology, and immunotherapy studies.

Establish and maintain laboratory experiments using basic cell biology and molecular biology skills. Specific duties may involve

Testing small molecule compounds in tissue culture, flow cytometry and cell analysis, Western blot, etc.

Small animal studies with tumor models.

Gene transfection and qPCR technique.
On-job training is available.

Place orders for the lab, perform literature search, manage data, analyze experimental results, interpret and present experimental results.

Assist in supervising students, provide general assistance to postdoctoral researchers and graduate students.

Maintain certain laboratory equipment and record keeping.

Assure compliance with safety programs; other duties as assigned.

1. B.S. degree in molecular cell biology, immunology, or related field.
2. Familiarity with basic laboratory instrumentation.
