The Associate Data Scientist will play a key role on our Aligned Assurance team, helping to meet demand and help our business partners to understand their goal and objectives, and develop clear, well-defined analytic plans. You'll work with a team of seasoned data science and audit professionals who will support your growth and development.


WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated salary: $72,000 - $114,000 plus annual bonus opportunity
  • Remote opportunity.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 9 paid holidays in 2023.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 56 hours of personal time in 2023, prorated based on the start date.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support the analytic life cycle.
  • Perform data extraction and data manipulation
  • Explore data to understand and articulate the data profile and its limitations.
  • assist in the development of predictive modeling and association modeling such as segmentation analysis, data modeling, risk modeling, behavioral analysis, cross-selling analysis, and customer churn analysis.
  • Develop trusted, actionable outcomes by applying appropriate analytical techniques and metrics.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of the analytic model.
  • You help promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the department and the larger organization. You value different ideas and opinions. You listen courageously and remain curious in all that you do.
  • You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.
  • Must be located in United States or Puerto Rico.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strong knowledge of the full audit cycle, identifying and interpreting risk indicators, and developing data-driven preventative measures IS REQUIRED.
  • Undergraduate degree in analytically driven fields such as mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, data science, computer science, operations research or actuarial science or equivalent job experience.
  • Ability to write SQL to gather data.
  • Basic proficiency in one or more computer programming languages, of which at least one must be R, Python or other general purpose coding language.
  • Basic statistical analysis and machine learning background, as well as basic understanding of data visualization and knowledge of structured data platforms.


VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient in fraud modeling for insurance products.
  • Graduate degree in analytically driven fields such as mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, data science, computer science, operations research or actuarial science.
  • Product and industry knowledge.
  • Strong business acumen.
