Helps to identify, assess, and analyze business challenges within the Finance and Accounting organization requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Reviews clients’ current close documentation and engages the close team, defines future state process, and advises on best practices for close management

Contributes knowledge and best practices of key accounting related business processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Close, etc.)

Opportunities to support various Business Transformation projects including (but not limited to): system strategy and selection, process or finance improvement and optimization, operations performance improvement, change management, program or project management, data analytics, business analysis

Holds team accountable and drives change through effective project management

Assesses and escalates project issues, risks, or conflicts to leadership and suggests resolutions

Proactively partners with CrossCountry Consulting’s leadership team on internal projects, including but not limited to the following: sales/marketing initiatives, recruiting, training, and organizational development

Assists with integrations and identifying efficiencies between the client’s accounting systems and other tools.

Optimization of client’s use of leading close management process and tools

10+ years’ experience previously working in a professional services firm or related experience working in a corporate accounting role.

Finance or accounting background with knowledge of General Ledger and Sub-ledger concepts preferred (e.g., Chart of Accounts, Journal Entries, Intercompany transfers and allocations, AP, AR, trial balance data, General Ledger, Procurement, and Asset Management)

Experience developing and formatting data to meet export/import requirements as defined by system rules

Excellent communication skills required – must develop, implement, and maintain sources of project information, communicating appropriate information to client as well as other team members

Additional experience in one or more of the following areas: accounting (e.g., financial reporting, operational accounting, accounting policy, transactions, etc.), business transformation (e.g., process optimization, finance transformation, change management, operations and performance improvement, project management, etc.)

Experience using a Financial System and/or designing and facilitating setup and configuration of one or more modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Expenses)

For applicants located in New York, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $150,000 - $239,250 + annual bonus + additional benefits.
