Summary, Focus and Purpose

The Learning Program & Communications Lead will report to the Global Animal Health (AH) Learning & Development (L&D) Learner Experience (LXP) Lead. This role serves as the LXP Lead’s liaison for AH learning programs, design, business engagement, communications, and branding initiatives across our organization. We are a high-achieving, Global L&D Team responsible for helping our colleagues develop skills to be better in their jobs and support our customers evolving needs, enabling us to reach our goal of becoming the Best Animal Health company in the world.

Teamwork is important, and the Learning Program & Communications Lead will be collaborating with colleagues cross-functionally and globally.

You will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing a global learning design and communication strategy, considering instructor led learning courses, self-guided developmental offerings, learner experiences, pathways, engagement, launches, and adoption. This role will be instrumental in partnering with client-facing learning professionals to create relevant learning solutions and experiences that build workforce capabilities, improve performance, mitigate risk, and in turn advance the bottom line.

Key Functions

  • Lead a team of learning experience consultants responsible for program coordination, digital design, communications and branding efforts for our commercial, manufacturing and R&D colleagues.

  • Audit learning programs and pathways, ensuring content relevancy, ease of accessibility, effective delivery methods, and an overall positive learner experience, enhancing skills for functional and departmental on-the-job capabilities.

  • Manage multiple learning program and design vendors, maintaining both new and existing vendor relationships.

  • Conduct a quarterly program analysis in partnership with LXP Lead and Operations Team, evaluating number of programs, participants, participant criteria, post-program satisfaction ratings, behavioral changes, and knowledge retention.

  • Create and design commercial, manufacturing, and R&D role specific learning resources. Consider feedback from learning needs analysis, quarterly employee pulse survey, business needs, organizational culture, knowledge and skill gaps, and internal limits including change tolerance, leader capacity, learner receptivity, resources, and budget.

  • Provide vision and guidance for regular design updates and lifecycle management of global internal learning websites.

  • Develop materials to educate L&D team on learning resource promotion, workshop delivery, communications, and branding best practices. Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of learner experience and messaging throughout all regions and functions.

  • Champion and promote L&D branding and strategy with stakeholders throughout the organization on the Enterprise learning team, local learning teams, AH leadership, communications, HR, and IT.

  • Design inclusive communications to drive learner engagement, increase awareness, and promote learning programs, developmental opportunities, and upskilling resources.

  • Align L&D communication strategy to the company calendar to ensure relevancy of content and receptivity

  • In partnership with Global and Regional communications teams, deploy learning communications through appropriate internal channels including but not limited to, Global Newsletters, Regional Newsletters, Intranet Site Features, Yammer, Microsoft Teams, social media, business presentations, and townhalls.

  • Partner with local markets to assure communication and resource translations are seamless and timely, broadening our messaging reach to a global audience.

  • Perform communications research and monitor the progress of innovative communications modalities. Conduct continuous internal & external benchmarking focused on digital trends in communications and learning and development.

  • Success in this role is contingent on the ability to support Learner Experience initiatives by prioritizing, planning, executing multiple tasks and collaboration under the guidance and direction of the LXP Lead


Education

  • Required | Bachelor degree

  • Preferred | Master degree

Experience | Skills | Knowledge

Required

  • Eight plus years related experience, preferably in Learning & Development, HR, Communications, or Marketing

  • Principled verbal and written communications | Excellent Presentation skills with an ability to communicate complex learning topics to general user audiences in a clear, concise manner

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously without a reduction in accuracy or quality of work

  • Analytical and process orientation mindset

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Teams, Forms, SharePoint)

  • Skilled in applying approaches, tools, and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner, including the ability to build and maintain critical networks and relationships across all levels and functions

  • Excellent project management skills, including time management, goal setting, multitasking, attention to detail, and prioritization

  • Proficiency in creating written, customer-focused communications; content editing and proofreading

  • Possesses a high level of cultural agility and a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Highly creative/out-of-the-box problem solver with the ability to implement and deliver results quickly

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$118,640.00 - $186,800.00
