Associate, Group Environmental Sustainability (12 Months)

The Associate will get to understand and gain working knowledge of Singtel’s corporate sustainability strategy, approach and programmes. The incumbent will also be involved in the development, planning and implementation of sustainability activities and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and organise sustainability staff awareness activities as well as internal and external facing events
• Manage and track events timelines and budgets
• Craft communications and write articles for our internal portal to engage staff on our sustainability initiatives.
• Assist Group Sustainability Managers on the various ongoing sustainability programmes and projects
• Support our dematerialization work on packaging by working with consumer team on related initiatives and ensuring compliance to the law
• Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders to embed environmental processes within the business operations to ensure compliance to the Singtel Group Environment Strategy
• Support Sustainable Procurement Programme including suppliers engagement initiatives and data management
• Working with other stakeholders to establish, monitor and track environmental targets
• Collaborate with other team members to support internal environmental programmes (e.g. recycling, environmental communications and awareness, training programmes for different business areas/operations etc.)
• Performing data collation, analysis and reporting for various environmental and sustainability reports, sustainability reporting, rating evaluation and assurance process

The idea candidate should be/have:

• An Engineering or Science degree in the area of Environmental studies or related field with 1-2 years of sustainability experience
• Experience in the implementation and management of Environmental Management Systems/Environmental Sustainability Systems or other related systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Highly self-driven and pro-active with a keen interest for exploring innovative solutions
• Strong data analytical skills
• Project management skills such as ability to actively manage and balance task, cost and time
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
• Passionate about contributing to the environment
