The Department of Systems Biology at Columbia University is seeking an Associate Research Scientist who has strong scientific and postdoctoral experience. The incumbent will help to establish and lead a new core facility that will provide state-of-the-art CRISPR screening and new single-cell, spatial profiling technologies to Columbia laboratories. The new core will reside in the Sulzberger Columbia Genome Center.
Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively with both experimental and computational researchers in the Center and have access to its capital equipment resources.
- Recruit, train, and manage new research staff who will perform CRISPR screening, single-cell sequencing, and spatial profiling experiments.
- Provide technical consulting to core users to assist them with experimental design and analysis.
- Responsible for maintaining the core’s license, contributing to efforts to raise external funding, and identifying both internal and external users.

Pay: $145,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
