Job Description:

Become a Core member of the Recovery team! Excel, learn and grow professionally on a critical team in a fast-paced environment. Enjoy the challenge of exercising your attention to detail and critical thinking skills to conduct research and analysis of data necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes. Use both your interpersonal and technical skills to gather information from market leading resources, advanced subscriptions to third party sources, public websites, clients, and Tax Authorities.

Stay continually engaged and motivated utilizing tools to analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business procedures, and appropriately apply that data to workflow applications, forms, and databases. Continuously thinking outside of the box to perform forensic accounting techniques to locate where funds are available, and successfully recover those funds to reduce bottom line losses related to tax payment errors.

Job Qualifications:

Associate Level responsibilities:

Research claims utilizing OneView, TALON, Wingspan, agency websites, phone calls to Tax Agencies and homeowners.
Review of escrow reporting, payment processing, tax bills reports from mortgage servicers / lenders, to check for missing payments, matching bills to checks, extracting system data and forwarding to clients.
Enter research findings into MS Access database.
Effectively manage time within the established deadlines, set appropriate work related priorities, and concentrate on the main objectives.
Research, collect and fill gaps for missing data to ensure accuracy.

Knowledge and Skills:

Having the necessary expertise to navigate and comprehend the complexities of property-related tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for reporting, presentations, information sharing (EX: Easily understandable and concise notes regarding the disposition of a claim).
Excellent customer and listening skills - builds customer confidence through commitment and delivery of customer satisfaction.
In-depth knowledge of company/client applications/system/requirements.
Ability to provide exceptional client service in a high-volume production environment.
Ability to prioritize inventory of tasks.

Education and Experience:

College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent acceptable.
2+ years of relevant mortgage industry (preferably within property detail) experience.
Client service-oriented experience preferred.

Sr. Associate responsibilities:

Manage a higher level of inventory (claim assignments) than at the Associate level.
Assist peers with side-by-side guidance, if needed, to share knowledge and undestanding based on experience.
Balance an increased amount of inventory within the queue, to ensure all claims are worked in a timely fashion.
Converse with agencies, clients, homeowners, title companies, etc., to fully and completely explain the error scenario and why the reimbursement/refund is due back to CoreLogic.
Clearly communicate scenarios with detailed explanations, timeline reviews, and payment processing details, to form a complete picture of complex claims assigned to Recoveries.
Manage assigned processes to meet deadlines.
Research claims utilizing OneView, TALON, Wingspan, agency websites, phone calls to Tax Agencies and homeowners.

Knowledge and Skills

Ability to show knowledge and comprehension regarding various procedures and activities involved in real estate transactions or related fields.
Having an accelerated expertise to navigate and comprehend the complexities of property-related tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for reporting, presentations, information sharing (EX: Easily understandable and concise notes to clients regarding the disposition of a claim).
Excellent customer and listening skills - builds customer confidence through commitment and delivery of customer satisfaction.
In-depth knowledge of company/client applications/system/requirements.
Understanding of other processes, upstream from Tax Recoveries, for a more rounded view of the process and what needs to happen to be successful.
Ability to provide exceptional client service in a high-volume production environment.
Expert ability to comprehend and navigate the complexities of property-related tasks.
Ability to read and map legal descriptions, including metes and bounds

Education and Experience:

College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent acceptable.
3+ years of relevant mortgage industry (preferably within property detail) experience.
Client service-oriented experience preferred.
