Reporting to the Director of Equipment Services / Football, the Asst. Director of Equipment Services / Football assists in the maintenance of athletic and sports equipment for the football program. Will provide support in ordering, distribution, collection, cleaning, repairing and proper documentation of inventory for all play and practice equipment used by the Virginia Tech football team. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations, Atlantic Coast Conference uniform regulations, and the Commonwealth of Virginia purchasing guidelines, relative to ordering and issuing equipment.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree and/or bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
Experience working in a Division I collegiate athletics equipment and laundry services center.
Working knowledge of equipment room inventory systems.
Experience using an internet based purchasing software.
Experience using TimeClock Plus or similar wage hours recording system.
Commitment to diversity.
Experience managing a large inventory.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a Power 5 collegiate athletics equipment and/or laundry services center.
Certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
Supervisory experience.
Budget management experience.
