DescriptionJob Summary: The Procurement and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory control processes to ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality materials and products at optimal costs. This role involves managing supplier relationships, coordinating with various departments, and implementing effective inventory management strategies.Key Responsibilities:Procurement:• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and products.• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong supplier relationships.• Monitor market trends and assess supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.Inventory Management:• Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.• Implement inventory management software and tools to track stock levels and forecast future needs.Cost Management:• Analyze procurement and inventory costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.• Develop and manage budgets for procurement and inventory activities.• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and inventory management.Cross-Functional Collaboration:• Coordinate with production, logistics, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of materials.• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address any issues related to procurement and inventory.Compliance and Risk Management:• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.• Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and inventory activities.Team Leadership:• Lead and mentor the procurement and inventory team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management techniques, and relevant software.• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
