Overview:One of Aston Carter's top clients is seeking an experience TREASURY MANAGER to come in and assist during a pivotal system implementation project. This role offers an opportunity to gain invaluable work experience and work through an implementation project (a skill many companies target!!). The position operates under a hybrid schedule and standard daily work hours. Below is more information on the day to day operations and the qualities needed to succeed in this position.Job Responsibilities:Accounting:• Perform monthly accounting close for US and Global Treasury activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.• Ensure accurate recording of all transactions and correct account statements before ledger closing.• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Shared Services Center overseas.• Maintain budget vs. actual tracking for global Treasury budgets.• Manage the purchase order/invoice process for US Treasury activities.• Prepare deliverables for quarterly/annual financial statement reporting.• Assist and guide Treasury support employees in resolving accounting breaks and approving journal entries.• Collaborate with Controllers and global Treasury Accounting team on Treasury accounting matters.• Respond to changes in accounting standards and guidelines related to US Treasury activities.• Provide backup support to the global Treasury accounting team overseas.• Participate in various Treasury accounting projects as needed.• Support the Treasury team with ad-hoc or project requests related to the area of responsibility.Controls:• Manage and maintain the control environment for US Treasury activities.• Update Treasury accounting policies and standard operating procedures.• Engage with internal and external audit teams for audit-related requests.Systems:• Serve as a backup system administrator for the Treasury Management System, managing master data.Skills & Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience in banking, corporate Treasury, or auditing in a financial service environment.• Excellent computer literacy and deep knowledge of ERP or other financial systems.• Previous experience with Treasury Management Systems is a plus.• Strong understanding of US GAAP and Treasury-related accounting standards• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to summarize and explain important points across large data sets.• Proven team player with the ability to integrate into an established team and work across multiple geographies.• Strong sense of integrity and ability to maintain an independent view.• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.The organization is looking to move with urgency and interviews are likely to be scheduled in the next two weeks.
