Job Description
Job Title: Athletics Intern
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
Department: Physical Education, Athletics & Recreation
Reports to: Administrative Assistant of Athletics
Position Summary:
The Athletics Intern reports directly to the Administrative Assistant of Athletics. The purpose of this position is to assist a variety of offices within the Athletic Department on various tasks over the summer months while providing the intern with valuable experience and an overview of the operations in an NCAA Division III athletic program.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Administration and Administrative Assistant on the organization and processing of invoices and other financial and budget related duties.
  • Work with the Equipment Manager using the Front Rush Trac Inventory System.
  • Update Staff Directory for 2023-2024.
    • Manage all additions/removals over the course of the summer.
  • Work together with the Senior Woman Administrator to update and organize the department’s Policies & Procedures Folder.
  • Support the Office of Athletic Communications in creating and organizing the digital and photo archives.
  • Assist the Office of Campus Recreation in developing new strategies to enhance its various social media outlets.
  • Attend and participate in staff and university wide meetings, programs, and activities where possible.
  • Meet at least once with each member of the department’s senior administrative team to learn more about their job responsibilities and profession.
  • Provide support in the areas of facility management and oversight when necessary.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
